Absolutely incredible model. : Creative Writing

Using the Q4_K_S quant with kccp, and it feels less like a Q4 quant than anything I've ever used. Really impressed with what it can do in long form creative writing with very big token count outlines, better than any other local model I've used at any size. Tracking between characters is near perfect, only disliking a few preposition formats in the prompt. Seems to lose a bit of stylistic adherence past 16k tokens, and I wish there was a middle ground between 9b and 27b but really that's more on Qwen's 3.6 releases than it is on David.

I've had a lot of luck bumping up Top-K from recommended up to 25-30 at a temp of around .75 to keep things colorful without wandering too much. I may have to do a few more runs vs. the recommended settings in the body, but what I'm getting when a good run hits is far more pleasing to me.

If getting fast creative writing output of a wide variety of regular and ERP topics is possible in 16gb of VRAM/unified with plenty of prose and not much slpo is possible, I'm thinking you'll be the one to do it. The 9B base contributing models are a step above the Mistral/Nemo based standards that have been the go-to's for years and it gives me reason to hope there's a base model sweet spot for those of us without **90 class cards or AI accelerators possible. Great work.

Just as a matter of preference I use topk of 64 to 120 for creative ; including on Qwens.
